Focus 10 integrates drivers, amplification, digital processing and network streaming into a matched stereo pair. Dynaudio can optimise crossover behaviour, protection and amplifier interaction at the factory, reducing the component-matching uncertainty of a passive system. Owners still need suitable stands, power at both speakers and careful room placement.

Drivers and expected scale

The compact two-way design uses Dynaudio’s soft-dome tweeter technology and MSP mid-bass cone. The cabinet is intended for small and medium rooms rather than stadium output. A well-positioned pair should prioritise imaging, tonal consistency and low distortion, while the deepest bass and very high playback levels remain areas where a larger Focus model or subwoofer has an advantage.

Native support for major streaming and casting platforms means Focus 10 can operate without a separate network player. Dirac Live room correction

Optional Dirac Live support is a meaningful differentiator. With a compatible microphone and careful measurement, it can address frequency-response problems at the listening position and improve bass integration. It cannot correct long reverberation times, poor speaker placement or every seat simultaneously, so acoustic fundamentals still matter.

WiSA and television use

WiSA allows wireless multichannel-quality audio from compatible televisions or transmitters with low latency. This can turn Focus 10 into a premium TV system without an AV receiver, although compatibility must be checked carefully. Conventional digital and analogue inputs remain important for televisions and sources outside the WiSA ecosystem.

Placement and bass management

Focus 10 is designed for stands, shelves or furniture with enough space around the cabinet. DSP placement settings and optional room correction help adapt the response, and subwoofer integration can extend bass for larger rooms. The compact enclosure makes positioning easier than larger high-end speakers but does not eliminate boundary effects.

Value and system comparison

The purchase price is high, yet it includes amplifiers, DACs, streamer, DSP and speakers. A comparable passive system needs several boxes and cables, while less expensive active speakers sacrifice refinement, power or room correction. Choose Focus 10 if you want high-end stereo performance with fewer boxes, broad streaming and meaningful room-correction potential. It is best suited to listeners prepared to use proper stands and careful setup rather than buyers seeking a casual smart speaker.

Dynaudio Focus 10 brings genuine high-end ambition to a compact wireless active system. Streaming breadth, WiSA and Dirac Live make it unusually capable, while strong driver and amplifier integration promise serious stereo performance. Its price is the principal barrier.
